Subject: Change of Plan for This Weekend
Hi Sarah,
I just checked the weather forecast for this weekend. It says that our hiking area will have heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout Saturday.
I do not think hiking would be a good idea in those conditions. The trail may become wet and slippery, and lightning would make the open parts of the mountain unsafe. We would probably spend the whole trip worrying about the weather instead of enjoying ourselves.
Could we choose an indoor activity instead? We could visit the new science museum in the morning and have lunch nearby afterward. Everyone could still spend the day together without taking an unnecessary risk. Please let me know what you think, and I can check ticket times.
Best,
Your friend
